Ganado Unified School District

Welcome to the online home of the Ganado United School District! We are located in the Navajo Nation Tribe in northeastern Arizona. Steeped in the ancient traditions of the Navajo, the spirit of who we are flows deeply through our district's belief system and manifests itself in all we do.

We invite you to take some time to get to know our district and all that we do for our students and community. Our schools take pride in the programs and services they offer their students. Ganado USD provides the latest technology, resources, and instructional aids to ensure students are ready for post-secondary education and beyond.

    Superintendent's Letter - Welcome Back

    July 29, 2024

    Ya’at’eeh Parents and Community Members,

Welcome back to new beginnings of a new school year, as we fulfill our purpose and the commitment we share to our students and the community. Each year, we welcome new opportunities and challenges, and this year is no different. We are excited to continue our service and continuing implemented programs designed to enhance our educational offerings and to support our mission of providing an exceptional learning experience for every student who chooses GUSD.

At the heart of our work is a shared commitment to our students. We recognize the trust that families place in us when they choose GUSD for their children's education. It is our responsibility to ensure that we not only meet their expectations but exceed them. This year, we are focused on creating opportunities that will make this school year memorable for both our students and our educators. Together, we will strive to cultivate an environment where learning thrives and every student feels valued and supported.

We are proud of the improvements we have made in our educational programs and practices. Our goal is to provide a great education that extends beyond graduation. We understand that education is a lifelong journey, and we are dedicated to equipping our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in an ever-changing world. This year, we will continue to refine our instructional strategies, ensuring that they are reflective and effective.

Creating a safe and nurturing learning environment is important. We believe that students learn best when they feel secure and supported. This year, we will focus on building positive relationships among students, staff, and the community. By working together, we can create a culture of respect, inclusivity, and encouragement that will benefit everyone in our school district.

As we begin this school year, let us remember the importance of collaboration. We are here to support our students, and we encourage open communication and feedback. Let's work together to address challenges, celebrate successes, and continuously improve our practices.

We thank you for choosing Ganado as your school and your child's commitment to GUSD. We continue to work to fulfil our district mission and vision by holding the importance of our Foundations of Learning for all. Our Team is excited about the possibilities that lie ahead this year, and we look forward to working alongside each of you as we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

    ‘Ahee'hee.
